Our Network focuses on 6 core areas and on Thursday evening we spent time on the radio aspect of it, working with learning disabled young people from The Squad to produce a radio broadcast for RadioActive101.
The aim of this work is to enable young people to find their voice and to raise the issues that are important to them, topics that are usually unheard in the mainstream media. The 6 young people involved chose to concentrate on their Transition from adolescence to adulthood and their experiences of college, volunteering & employment.
The broadcast of this radio show will be one of the last things that we do during this campaign, as it goes out at 2pm on our final day (Thursday June 30th). We would love it if you listened in and let us know what you thought. To do that, check out www.radioactive101.org.
And in other news, the lovely people at Pi Supply have written a great Blog Post about our work . This is great example of how the Kickstarter community comes together to help each other. Huge thanks to Aaron & John for their support!
Finally, we have been chosen by Kickstarter as a Staff Pick. By Thursday evening this had helped us to reach nearly 40% of our total. So thanks to everyone at Kickstarter.
And finally, finally, special thanks to all those people who have backed, tweeted and shouted about our campaign.
